Question~

This past Saturday Bella and I were running errands.  The day was beautiful~ nice breeze, perfect temperature, and fluffy white clouds.  It really does not get much better than the day we were blessed with.

As we were driving we began talking about  all the beauty that God had created for us.  The trees, the sky, the animals, the flowers, the warm breeze ~ all of it created for our enjoyment.

After we got done thanking God for everything Bella asked:

"Mommy, who created God?"

My reply:

"nobody created God, He has always been."

It was such a wonderful questions, and all weekend I thought on it and on my answer.

Do I simplify God?

I hate to admit it but I believe I must for when I really gave thought to Bella's question I struggled to wrap my feeble human brain around God, and how Omnipotent He is.

Bella's simple question caused me to stop and remember how big, how magnificence how mighty God truly is.

I don't think your answer simplified Him at all! It just emphasizes His amazing, unexplainable presence!

Those pictures alone show what an awesome God we have. I don’t think any of us could answer that question and do it justice.

You answered it beautifully. I think telling them that HE has always been here but nothing else was here. It ALL came from Him.

i wish i could be more childlike and be content with such a simple answer. it does hurt my head a lot to try and even fathom stuff like this. so being reminded to trust like a child is so important!

Reminds me of the evening that Chelsi accepted Jesus as her personal Savior....there was a beautiful pink sunset...and she said.....GOD put my favorite color in the sky because HE KNEW today was the day I would become HIS girl!!!
I wept! Big time!
How precious our babies are!
I just love them!!!
