Sisters, Commander's Palace & Pimm's Cup recipe~

During our time together, my sister's and I spent an evening in Destin. Our night had two main objectives, being together and a Pimm's Cup at Commander's Palace~

There was no rushing, no sense of time, no worries.

Side by side we sat for hours, not as mothers, wives or daughters, but as sisters~ life long friends.

Briefly we would allow others into our conversation but mostly it was an exclusive group of three.

Enveloped in a beautiful atmosphere with this refreshing drink in our hand, the conversation poured out easily~ like only it can when you are surrounded by love.

Others noticed and commented on the obvious bond. "Are you sisters?" "Yes"

But it is not being related that connects us. For even if they were not my sisters I would choose them as my dearest friends.

Pimm's Cup Recipe~

1.5 ounce of Pimm's #1
4 to 5 ounces homemade sweet and sour mix
top off glass with club soda
add sliced or chopped cucumbers

I will have to try this recipe, this is the first time I've heard of Pimm (should I be getting out more?). Sounds like a wonderful time. Thanks again for sharing.

I never realized what I was missing by not having a sister until I got older. I hope my girls have the same special bond when they get older that they have now. So glad to hear you had some great family time last week.

What a wonderful gift to spend time like that with your sister. I haven't had much time alone with my sister in the last 16 years. Just as soon as she has an empty nest and more time to hang out kid-free, I'll probably have my hands full with little ones. Maybe when we're old ladies we'll get to hang out together.
