Girls weekend~

Our girls weekend

The weekend we spend time
telling stories, staying up late
lingering over coffee and homemade bread,
laughing till our sides hurt
lazing in the sun while the surf laps onto our feet.

Listening to giggling girls
telling their own stories, staying up late,
sipping 'Nana's' cocoa and eating homemade bread,
laughing till their sides hurt,
playing in the surf and sand

It is a time I look forward to every year
4 days spent together reconnecting
These days sustain me during the times when the miles between us all seem great
The memories made are stored in heart and remembered
each time I begin to miss you

Mom, Shannon, Shelley, Isabella, Abigail and Madalene
I am so thankful that you are the 'girls' in my life

Until next year~

Photos: Playing chase with Aunt Shelley, Grand parents and their 'babies', sweet taste of summer, Madalene playing in the sand, Bella, Abigail and Bella, Poppy (the only boy allowed) fishing with Bella, one of the many fish caught and returned to the sea, Nana and her girls, super-heros, Nana's beauty salon, stealing kisses, waiting for a snowcone, enjoyment, Abigal and Bella, Nana singing her girls to sleep, tender moment between Aunt Shannon and Bella, telling secrets, the sisters
