Fun day thanks to Fay~

Fay came for a visit and left a little something for us when she departed~

Are taxes higher on water front property?

At least it gave me some time to do a craft project with Bella~

We made name (initial) tags for our basket

Angela August 20, 2008 at 3:59 PM

Hi there and thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. So many things to say--your blog design is absolutely adorable. And your family? Good grief, could they be any more beautiful?! I know one thing--I must see more of that laundry room! :) I'll be back! I hope everything goes alright with Fay.

Debbie August 20, 2008 at 5:05 PM

I might enjoy doing laundry if my room was as pretty as yours. Sounds like the two of you had a wonderful day.

Ame... August 20, 2008 at 5:12 PM

Thanks for your comment:) That is alot of water! But, your laundry room is the tag idea!

angie August 20, 2008 at 5:16 PM

Fay sure did leave you a little something! I love your blog design and mostly, I love your organized laundry room. Spectacular. I HAVE to do that.

Lori August 20, 2008 at 5:30 PM

we are dealing with a drought up here in Ohio and that rain would sure do my flowers good. My friend lives in Naples and she said that their lawn was flooded and they lost power for 6 hours. Glad to see you guys are fairing well also :)

Old Pelican August 20, 2008 at 5:33 PM

Fay stopped at our house too! Love, love those baskets. Your so crafty.

Daniella August 20, 2008 at 5:34 PM

Oops that was me Daniella with the comment above. I forgot to log out of my homeowners association email. sorry

Marla August 20, 2008 at 5:36 PM

I hope Fay stops by the bluegrass state, we're dry.
Love the baskets, heck I love your laundry room.

Julie August 20, 2008 at 6:15 PM

nikkicrumpet August 20, 2008 at 7:38 PM

Thanks for visiting my blog...I love following people home. Looks like you have a pretty pond...don't let the wetlands commission find out! I sure hope Fay didn't do you any damage. At least you got some great stuff done...the basket tags are a great idea!

Shannon August 20, 2008 at 7:42 PM

Oh, I just love craft projects and especially when they involve baskets and tags!! So cute!

Amy Clemons August 20, 2008 at 7:48 PM

Yikes! We don't get that kind of weather here in Fayetteville, TN... Actually we've been in a terrible drought this year. Fay passes with no damage.

Love the baskets. Wish we lived closer so we could craft together. Isn't it so much fun. You are very talented and inspiring.

Carrie August 20, 2008 at 8:49 PM

Thanks for stopping by love your blog. Its always fun when you can find time to craft!

Sharie August 20, 2008 at 8:54 PM

Hopefully all that water stayed outside and didn't harm your beautiful home!

Your laundry room is prettier than my living room:)

Josh & Katie August 20, 2008 at 9:43 PM

tell me your laundry room doesn't really look that cute! love the tags :)

Michelle August 20, 2008 at 9:50 PM

Fay left you a pretty big lake in your back yard. I hope your house wasn't damaged.

The basket project is adorable. I think the concensus is that your laundry room is way too neat and we need to start sending our laundry down your way. :-)

Lori August 20, 2008 at 9:50 PM

Love the tags!

Chris and Deb August 20, 2008 at 9:51 PM

Hey there, Lady-Who-Needs-More-Laundry, :-)

Did you happen to get the email I sent you last week? I hid a comment on your blog (sneaky me), so if you don't read your comments in email and only read the comments on your blog, you wouldn't have gotten it. I truly am headed your way later this year and I'm bringing my laundry with me! LOL

Michelle August 20, 2008 at 11:10 PM

Cracking up at your last comment. Email me at

Amy August 20, 2008 at 11:32 PM

sara August 21, 2008 at 10:00 AM

What a wonderful idea!! i thought I was innovative by just putting baskets in the laundry room (color coded, mind you) - but the tags are beautiful!

Genny August 21, 2008 at 10:50 AM

Wow. Glad everything's fine, though.

Those tags are great!

Thanks so much for stopping have a beautiful spot here!

Joannah August 21, 2008 at 11:46 AM

That's a lot of water! We had a storm like that once here where the streets were flooded. The kids were all out playing in the water.

Are those your laundry baskets? What a great idea!

Rebecca August 21, 2008 at 12:16 PM

Oh my goodness!!! I can't believe you have that much water!

I love your laundry room. You have me seriously jealous. I have a beautiful washer & dryer but they are in my BASEMENT (which is like a cellar). One of my dreams has been for a beautiful, clean, finished laundry room. Ah, someday!!

PS I love the tags! You are amazing!

Marie August 21, 2008 at 2:32 PM

Oh my!!! You guys got an awful lot of rain! It has only just begun for us up here in Georgia. At least you made fantastic use of your time. :o) Be safe!

And thanks for your well wishes on my blog. :o)

Deb August 21, 2008 at 4:38 PM

Wow you sure did get some rain didn't you? I bet you didn't know there was a lake next to you when you moved in. Well, at least you did something crafty while you were stuck inside. I love the way the baskets turned out. Where did you find those baskets? I'm sure Bella had fun helping you. Mine always has a blast when it is time to do a project with mommy. Stay dry.

Mimi Sue August 21, 2008 at 4:48 PM

Thanks so much for leaving a comment on my new blog! You seem to be a girl after my own heart, when a hurricane is on the horizon, get out the craft supplies! Love it. You have an adorable daughter. I had one that was very similar. We would say instead of getting dressed she would get "costumed". We had our moments..Ha Now she is a very conservative mommy dealing with her own daughter's creativity. I'll be back for a visit soon.

Paula August 21, 2008 at 5:42 PM

Wow, good thing it didn't flood. Glad you guys are making the best of a rainy day.

Rae August 21, 2008 at 6:08 PM

I love your attitude about the rain! I think it's fabulous to have a waterfront property and not pay the taxes! :)

Love your basket tags!!!

Thanks so much for popping by the other day. It's so nice to meet you!

Self Confessed Lamp Tramp August 21, 2008 at 6:16 PM

Love the baskets and the tags. Hope the water has gone away. Can't believe this Fay gal. Doen't have to be a Cat 5 to damage and ruin property and lives.

Half Gaelic, Half Garlic! August 21, 2008 at 7:16 PM

You always wanted to live on the water...didn't you?

Hope it didn't cause any damage!!

Love, Love, Love the baskets....very clever and cute!!

Kathryn August 21, 2008 at 7:37 PM

I'm so glad you found my site ... because that led me to yours! I enjoyed my "visit" so much and was blessed by your posts.

We lived in S. Florida for five years. Boy, do I remember those hurricane and tropical storm preparations ... and the aftermaths. So glad you all are safe and sound.

By the way, I LOVE your basket tags! :-)

Thursday blessings ...

Tami August 21, 2008 at 8:27 PM

Those baskets are beautiful! What do you usually put in them...laudry supplies, clothes?

Glad Fay didn't cause TOO much damage...hope the water goes down quickly!

Debz August 21, 2008 at 8:29 PM

Wow now that's a laundry room that's a store front seller! The baskets are a fantastic idea!
Sorry about your nasty weather. Hope it dries up soon for you.

Valarie August 23, 2008 at 10:51 AM

That is a really cute idea! I may have to try that in my mud room.

Denise C August 25, 2008 at 1:06 AM

OH no....Fay was not being very nice huh???
I am so sorry!

Now, on the your fabulous basket idea! I just love that! I am all about baskets!!!
I filled our study shelves full of them...and put all the books and "clutter" inside. Looks much more organized!!!

Mom To Six August 25, 2008 at 9:56 AM

Yep...dear ol' Fay! Glad to hear she's finally gone...everywhere.
