Weight Watchers Weigh-In and other updates~

Well girls it has been one month (4 weeks~ 28 days~ 672 hours ~ 40,320 minutes) since I took that fateful first step on the Weight Watchers scale. The number I saw starring back at me one month ago was sobering. Not because I was shocked to discover that I was fat. Oh no that was a truth I know all to well, but the number on the scale that was staring back at me could not be covered up with pretty clothes, a cute hair style, and makeup. I had to face it and face it I did!!


So far I've lost~







Not too bad! Actually I am happy with this given the fact that I haven’t felt great for 3 out of the 4 weeks and exercise has been non existent.


Now for a few updates~

Nancy's plan to do me in was unsuccessful! Yippee!!! Other than a cough and lack of energy I am feeling much better. Thank you all for your well wish. Between you and me it was the well wish and not the Witch's brew that brought me back around. But that crazy Cuban is taking all the credit!

Thank you for our prayers for Autumn. Last night they had a major set back with the surgery~ the incision completely open. She will be going to the doctors to have the wound inspected and a new plan of how to repair the palette will be made at that time. For now I ask that you continue praying for this little girl and her parents.

That’s all the updates I have for now. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ~ If any of you have a motivation that gets you moving, send them my way ~

WHOOO HOOOO...8 lbs is awesome!

That is wonderful news....especially without the exercise.

My little piece of advice on the exercise front...do it first thing in the morning. I know you are not a morning person, but if you do it and get it over with, you will feel much better and it also kick starts your day with a burst of energy!

I was hoping Autumn was in the clear...I will continue to keep them in my prayers!

That is wonderful - be proud! I too agree to get the exercise part out of the way first thing. If I don't do it first thing, I find I won't. I also rely heavily on good tunes on my mp3 player. I've also been going to hungry girl dot com - I've gotten some good ideas for re-doing recipes to make them lowfat.

I am so proud of you. Eight pounds in four weeks. That is an average of two pounds per week. At this rate you could lose 104 pounds in a year. Then you would be little enough to stuff yourself in an itty bitty envelope and mail yourself to me. :) By the way, did you walk this morning? I told you that I was going to ask you today? Maybe this will work as our source of motivation. Me publicly badgering you about your morning walk. Just know that you can get me back on my blog. I need a little badgering myself. I have been a big slacker this week. I have had too much "piece" and not enough "peace".

8 lbs is perfect! They say if you lose an average of 2 lbs a week you're much more likely to keep it off. I'm with you on exercise and mornings...I don't like either:)

I hope little Autumn will be healed soon.

Congratulations on losing 8 lbs!!! I am so proud of you. I have struggled with my weight my entire adult life. I have a thyroid disorder and my metabolism is nill. HOWEVER, I do believe that Weight Watchers IS the healthiest way to lose weight.

I am cheering you on my friend. I just may start the program before school starts, as well.
YOU are a motivator for me!

Great job on 8! That is a sustainable, steady loss that you can keep up the pace of!
My best advice on getting some exercise is getting up and enjoying the morning. I find that I enjoy some quiet time walking in my neighborhood before the heat of the day ~ and if I don't do it before my morning shower then I find too many excuses not to later...

Congrats!!! I think WW is one of the best 'diets' out there. I lost 15 lbs before I got pregnant with Owen, and I keep telling myself I have to get back to it. It really is a healthy eating plan where you don't have to deny yourself too much.

Once baseball season is over(dinner seems to be at the game most nights lately, and not very WW friendly), and the kids are back in school I won't have an excuse not to exercise and cook healthier!

Keep it up....you're my inspiration!!!!

And great job at going at the WW thing. I so wish I could get "moved" to want to loose some weight. I really need to get going on that one. (and before I hear you say, it so looks to me that you don't need to loose weight, I am proud to say my weight is 154lbs and at 5'5" I need to loose about 16 lbs...which is so hard......)

Woo-Hoo!! on the 8#! I think part of the feeling bad is your system purging out all the bad stuff! I know I felt bad for a few weeks :) I still really miss sugar (but recognize my Independence apart from it!)

I do believe in Weight Watchers (and thedailyplate.com) Seen a lot of success with both. My word of caution would be to stay away from ANYTHING that has HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP in it. A lot of "good for you" granola bars and cereals, etc (that MAY be low cal) have HFCS in them. HFCS is a ploy by the food industry & it SHUTS off the natural sensors in your body that make you feel full!! I have been OFF of HFCS for almost 5 weeks & I pray I never go back!!

I also allow myself a cheat meal every week. Whatever I want. When I get closer to "goal" I will make it a cheat day! Just keeping it to one day (and not sprinkling it throughout the week) is better for your body!

I joined WW too last Monday. I have not been doing that good this week so I really have to "water down" this weekend and try to undo the bad before Monday's weigh in.

If you like bars, try the CLIF bar. It is organic (so no High Fructose Corn Syrup!) The bigger bars are 250 calories (but GOOD ones!) Full of protein & fiber. They are now making a box of assorted 100 calorie ones. I eat one everyday!
