Contentment

One of my oldest and dearest friends Mia did a post this week that was about being content with what you have.  She was inspired to write the post from a blog she was reading~ Grace Violet. Both of these ladies made a photo collage of things they love and already have in their homes.  It was inspiring!

While walking around my home with the purpose of capturing the things in my home that I love, satisfaction flooded over me.  I did not look at an item and think 'should I move it or change it somehow'.  No, I walked around and saw the beautiful and meaningful items that I have and I was content! What I already have is more than enough!

So girlfriends, here are a few my favorite things~

A crystal chandelier that hangs over Bella's bed

Sink and Faucet, in Zsa Zsa bathroom

A lamp in our foyer, what I love about this is lamp is the broach that finishes off the sash.  It was Vito's Great Grandmothers

One of MANY mirrors that hang in my home.  This one is above my desk.

Old stain glass windows, that rest inside a window in my bedroom

An Antique Armoire.  This is the first piece of furniture I ever purchased.

Another of the many mirrors in my home.  But this one is extra special because Vito had it made for me as a birthday present.

Paintings that Bella and I did together

A treasured piece, not just because of it's beauty, but because of the dear friend who painted it for me.

My family room~ I love every bit of this room!

Bella Mia, Mr. Man, and Giovanni (Gio)
My family
Nothing compares to them

Now I would really be content if one of you computer savvy ladies could teach me to make one of those beautiful photo collages.

Krista,

I was JUST posting on my blog (I know, it's been a while) when your sweet comment came through, and to top that, I had JUST finished thinking to myself I would LOVE to learn how to 'collage' photos, so the photos don't run down the post too long!!!! WOW...is that errie (in a good way) or what?!

Regarding your post.....Can you come to my house and help me decorate....PLEASE??!!!

BEAUTIFUL! I love your taste!!!! Absolutely gorgeous!
My favorite is Zsa Zsa's sink! Oooo-la-la!
Now...for the collages...perhaps I can help....Google "Picasa2" and download the "Free" program....then you can import your photos to this program...then select the photos you want to collage and click "hold" at the bottom of the page...then click "Collage"...it will magically do it for you!

Email me if I can help you more!
Also...I'd love to add you to my side bar of Blogs I Love...would that be OK with you???

Blessings,
Denise

What a beautiful idea!! I may have to steal it. Contentment is such a hard thing to have but when you do have it you find such peace.

PS I make my collages through Picassa. It is a free program you can download.

What beautiful things....I agree with Denise....love that sink and the broach on the lamp....what a cool idea!

I still have not figured out the collage thing yet either!

Your right...no material thing can compare to your family....they are so precious!

I love the name Gio.....our China Baby was going to be Giovanna, or Gia for short.....I think we have changed our minds during this long wait!

Thanks for the tour. Now, on to getting you out to Colorado -what's that gonna take???

I don't know if you got your collage info; but here's the way I have found the FASTEST & EASIEST:

First upload pics you want to collage to flickr (easy & free, but there is a capacity limit)
http://www.flickr.com/

Next, click on this website that you upload pics directly from flickr to make your collage..SOOOO Easy!
