Happy Mother's Day, Mom~

She Shall be Praised
Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou are more excellent of them all. Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
- Proverbs 31: 10, 25-31

Your children do rise up and call you blessed; for you are blessed and you have poured out your blessing in our lives. Thank you for the foundation of faith that you brought us up with. This foundation will continue on for generations to come.

You taught us to appreciate fine things, but to value the things that money can’t buy. You taught us to live life confidently, but to be considerate of others. You showed us through your life’s actions, that pain can break your heart but it can not rob you of your joy or dignity. And during those times when pain intruded into our peaceful home you reminded us that family sticks together to overcome. You made traditions of the past important but welcomed new ones as our family grew with marriages and babies. You have loved us compassionately, deeply and unconditionally.

Because of you Mom we are the people we are today. Thank you

We love that Bible verse. So many people take the meaning in the wrong way. It is a wonderful way to teach our daughters about God's message for all of us to work hard, take care of family, be honest and love others in need.

Happy Mother's Day my dear friend! You are so in your element as a Mother. Bella radiates with the love , compassion, and faith that you (and Vito) have poured into her.

About that verse, every Friday evening at our Shabbat table, Ray stands above me, places his right hand on my head and pronounces this blessing to me. I can the warmth spread all over me as once again I am reminded of how blessed I am. That is the tradition in all observing Jewish homes.

Happy Mother's Day! I love you.

Love the blog! Mom and I spent about an hour today reading all of them and reading the comments. You have a gift of expression and photography! Love the pictures of Bella. Can you email me some so that I can get them printed? Also, I made a comment under the squirrel post
